My Wishlists

As a long-term expat, I'm continuously being asked what I miss from home and what others can send me. This time around, I thought I'd keep a running wishlist, both for myself and for my classroom.

Reminders: American Samoa is serviced by the US Postal Service. Flat-rate boxes will cost the same to American Samoa as to other parts of the US. Please write "AIR MAIL" on anything you send!

Note: Amazon and other websites will ship to American Samoa.

My Personal Wishlist:
  • books (new, used, in any condition... I'll pass them on to others when I've finished)
  • movies (old DVDs that you haven't watched in ages, cheap movies from the bins at Wally World, anything!)
  • Printer Ink for a Lexmark X2670 (I know Lexmark ink numbers 14 and 15 work, but I don't know if there are others)
  • check out my amazon.com wishlist
  • individual packets of drink mixes (crystal light, arizona teas, starbucks COLD coffee, etc.)
  • flip-flops, size 8
  • insect repellent

My Classroom Wishlist:

  • BOOKS!!! (There is NO literature in my classroom - books at a Kindergarten-3rd grade level are welcomed... picture books, easy chapter books, etc... in ANY condition!)
  • Children's/Students' Dictionaries and Thesauri (is this the plural?)
  • Maps - USA, World, States (old AAA maps would be great)
  • post-its (generic brand is fine, variety of rectangular/square sizes)
  • construction paper/colored paper
  • paints, paintbrushes
  • ziplock/one-zip bags (of various sizes)
  • paper lunch bags
  • add'l art supplies (glitter, pastels, clay, craft supplies: googly eyes, pompons, pipe cleaners, craft sticks, origami paper, sequins, beads, yarn, etc. - I'm expected to teach Art, but I have NO supplies with which to teach!)
  • rhythm instruments (maracas, triangles, claves, tambourines, etc. - I'm expected to teach Music, but have NO materials/books/cds to teach with)
  • balls, jump ropes, small orange cones, beanbags (I'm also the PE teacher with nothing to teach with)
  • digital projector for a laptop (with cables) ... Yes, I know this one's a big one, but I thought I'd put it out there in case someone has connections ;)
